Influenced by her friends’ participation in the event, sophomore Lauren Onaga also took part in Inktober. Rather than leaving her art in black and white, Onaga adds colors to her drawings with markers.

“The prompts are vague, so it’s difficult to think of what to draw,” Onaga said. “But it’s a great way to be creative and feel accomplished. [My favorite part so far] is being able to see other people’s artwork and how completely different [their works] are from mine, but still came from the same topic.”
