ASB hosts annual Night Rally

Associated Student Body hosted the annual Night Rally from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Friday, March 6 in the gym.

For the artist-themed rally, freshmen dressed in Taylor Swift yellow, sophomores dressed in Frank Ocean orange, juniors dressed in Blueface blue and seniors dressed in YG red.

In addition, each spring sport — badminton, baseball, boys golf, softball, swim, boys tennis and track and field — was commemorated during the rally. Captains introduced their respective sports and counted off the number of athletes from each class year.

“The people who come to Night Rally are always really [hyped] and passionate,” cabinet member junior Abigail Anne Campos said. “I think school spirit and rallies definitely add to a person’s high school experience.”

In preparation, each class cabinet held poster-making parties in the weeks prior to the rally. Members took inspiration from each artist’s discography to decorate posters with song lyrics and class mottos.

“I was really looking forward to this rally because, in our last rallies, we’ve been lacking in our decorations,” class treasurer freshman Zachary Labuguen said. “[Night rally is] unique because, in the middle schools, we never had rallies. This is our first [Night Rally], and it’s a really big experience for us.”
