Senior Graduation Fair was hosted from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m on Monday, Oct. 12 and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 in the MPR.
On both days, Herff Jones sold apparel such as customized graduation rings, class of 2016 hoodies and souvenir tassels. Students had the option to buy package deals which included customized invitation cards, thank you cards, envelopes and other items.
“[Grad Fair] sort of made me realize how old I was. You get a sense of responsibility from this event,” senior Dana Hernandez said. “When I was getting my cap and gown, graduation seemed to be just around the corner.”
Students of the class of 2016 could also purchase leis, graduation apparel, caps and gowns. However, Monday was the only day on which they could buy up to two graduation tickets.
“For 17 years I’ve been [in Walnut]. I have been here all my life,” senior Dillion Kim said. “[I feel] excited and scared to be thinking about college, since it is a new environment.”
