Interact collaborates for Earth Day

Interact worked with the City of Walnut, Starbucks, Environmental Care Global Awareness and Suzanne Middle School’s Conservation Club to participate in Earth Day festivities at Creekside Park Sunday, April 23.

Club members planted flowers at the entrance of Creekside Park and picked up trash around the area. Interact cabinet member sophomore Priscilla Pranajasa came up with the idea to collaborate with Conservation Club to clean up outside of Suzanne’s campus.

“I love giving back to the environment because it gives so much to us. Nowadays, I see a lot of news articles about how deprived the environment is, [so] I decided to take charge locally,” Pranajasa said. “I learned that it really takes just a spark of inspiration to make a difference in what you do.”
