Physics projects video: building trebuchets
Physics students built trebuchets to learn the basics of projectile motion this week.
After completing their projects, students tested the trebuchets by launching tennis balls from the catapults and calculating how far they landed.
“I’ve been enjoying [this project] a lot because we’re applying our physics knowledge, calculating and predicting and actually making the thing. It’s been a great experience for us,” junior Brad Ling said. “Physics applies to so many things that the projects are all different.”
