UnitedMed makes blankets for Project Linus
UnitedMed members participated in making no-sew blankets for Project Linus Monday, March 20.
Project Linus is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide homemade blankets for children in hospitals, social service agencies and shelters. During this meeting, members began constructing seven blankets by cutting and tying the edges together. The project will be finished by the next meeting on March 27.
“It was a motivational experience being able to help someone, and it was also very inspiring because it let me see how a little time and some simple work can lead to such a big impact in other people’s lives,” freshman Jessica Jiao said. “Actions can be small or big. Something that isn’t as important or meaningful to you can be a life-altering change for someone else.”
