WVUSD school closure for the remainder of the school year

Walnut Valley Unified School District (WVUSD) schools will be closed for the remainder of the school year in response to concerns regarding the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

This extension comes after California Gov. Gavin Newsom and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond directed the closure of all schools for the remainder of the school year Wednesday, April 1. WVUSD will implement its Expanded Distance Learning Program through online resources for all grade levels Monday, April 20 for the rest of the semester.

The graduation ceremony and related activities for seniors will not be held in the traditional manner, and information will be provided to seniors by their respective high school administrations.
