Jammin’ with Twenty One Pilots

Twenty One Pilots performed its album “Blurryface” at the Greek Theatre, LA on Oct. 15. Twenty One pilots is an Alternative Hip Hop, Indie Pop and Electropop band with two band members, Josh Dun (Drummer) and Tyler Joseph (Piano, Ukulele and Lead singer).

Finish ticket and Echosmith opened for it to get the fans ready with brilliant sets full of excitement and music that made me want to want to jump out of my seat and sing along.

In the beginning of its show, Twenty One Pilots created an energetic, feel good mood using emotional lyrics in the song, “Heavydirtysoul.” The mood was carried out brilliantly throughout the entire performance.

One of its more popular songs, “Lane Boy,” was lively and showed how important this song was to them with the use of characters in the music video that came alive during its show.

Its cover of “Can’t Help Falling in Love with You” by Elvis Presley was mashed up with “House of Gold,” a song written about Tyler and Josh’s mothers that made the audience feel sadness and happiness at the same time.

Both members were very energetic, performed acrobatic stunts and even interacted with the audience throughout the show. The pit section held up a platform with Josh’s drums on it where he closed the song “Ride.”
Overall, the opening acts and Twenty One Pilots put together an amusing show that was suitable for everyone. The interaction and the energy surrounding the audience at all times made this one of the most memorable performances, and I hope to see them again.
