Boys’ Tennis trounces Nogales

Varsity boys’ tennis destroyed Nogales, 18-0 to extend its non-league record to 5-0 on Tuesday, March 10, at home.

“Honestly, I felt like the game was very easy going into it because our coach told us that Nogales’ lineup. We have knowledge about Nogales and we know they aren’t a strong team, so going into it I felt pretty confident that we’ll win,” sophomore Dylan Truong said.

Three teams stand in its way to remain undefeated in the non-league season: Bonita, Glen A. Wilson, and Rowland. The team remains confident to be undefeated during the preseason, but also the regular season. Since Diamond Bar and Rowland Heights left the Hacienda League, the competition is expected to be less difficult for the tennis team.

“We’re confident enough that we’re going undefeated the entire league and year. We played Rowland during pre-season and our team was very well matched against them. We double swepped them and ended up with the win. Knowing that we were that good against Rowland, we’re pretty confident,” senior Alec Lau said.
