Varsity boys’ water polo remains undefeated against Los Altos

Varsity boys’ water polo team defeated Los Altos 11-3 for their fifth consecutive win to bring its overall record in the season to 16-2 on Wednesday, Oct. 6.

Walnut’s defense limited Los Altos to 19 steals and a lead in the first three quarters. Driver sophomore Kyle Green led the team with four total goals and three steals while driver sophomore Patrick Webb followed with three assists.

“Sometimes we don’t talk a lot and things get out of hand and we mess up really bad. This game, we were talking and had good communication; we didn’t have any mess-ups. We expected Los Altos to be one of our closer games, so when we beat them, we felt pretty good and we should be able to take it to championships,” utility sophomore Nick Fabrega said.
