College Commitments: Tuesday, Nov. 24

The Early Signing Period is when student-athletes sign their National Letter of Intents to play at their committed colleges next year. The Period starts from Wednesday, Nov. 11 and ends Wednesday, Nov. 18. On Wednesday, Nov. 18 these seniors signed their letters but never made official to the student body. Here’s a recap of the Mustang athletes, who finally announced their commitments on Tuesday, Nov. 24:

Megan Hou

Sport: Golf

Commitment: University of Southern Illinois

“I first emailed the coach because I was interested in the [University of Southern Illinois], and I thought it was a good field for me academically and golf-wise. I’m really excited because it was a school that I was interested in, and the fact that I could get accepted made me happy,” senior Megan Hou said.


Alison Chang

Sport: Golf

Commitment: Princeton University

“It’s definitely like a dream come true. I feel like all my hard work had paid off. I never would have imagined myself in this place eight years ago, which was when I first started playing golf. It’s so amazing. I feel so blessed and excited knowing that for the next four years I’ll be playing for a really amazing coach and with team members I really like,” senior Alison Chang said.


Kayla Richardson

Sport: Track and field

Commitment: USC

“I’m blessed to have the talent that got me to [University of Southern California] and grateful for my parents who helped me out,” senior Kayla Richardson said.


Kyla Richardson

Sport: Track and field

Commitment: USC

“I’m blessed and excited because [the University of Southern California is] my dream school and [I got a] track scholarship. Also, I’m grateful that they can see my potential [in running track],” senior Kyla Richardson said.


Brennan McKenzie

Sport: Baseball

Position: First base

Commitment: Cal Poly Pomona
