Preview: Varsity girls basketball competes in CIF

Varsity girls basketball will be playing against Burroughs High School in its first California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) game Thursday, Feb. 7 at home.

Girls basketball currently has a 16-10 overall record and a 7-3 league record. To prepare for the CIF game, the Mustangs are studying film and running plays during practice.

“Our goal is just to get as far as we can,” point guard sophomore Elisabeth Yick said. “It’ll be fun to play the match with my teammates since we’re all close to each other, and we can rely on one another.”
