Preview: Varsity volleyball prepares for game against Wilson
Varsity volleyball will play a non-league game against Wilson on Tuesday, Aug. 29 at home.
To prepare for the upcoming season, the team practices passing pattern drills and plays six-on-six scrimmages. They aim to maintain consistency with their hits.
“[The practices] are fun, but they’re intense. We all get competitive when we play small-sided games, which helps the energy stay up and make it seem more like an actual game,” defensive specialist sophomore Jasmyn Domingo said.
The Mustangs are also having a team dinner and potluck this Friday and Saturday to bond and have fun with one another before the game.
“Being one of the older players on the team, you kind of guide the younger players to success and help them out,” outside hitter senior Janell Currier said. “One thing I’m looking forward to as a senior is finishing strong and [having] an amazing season. Our main goal for this season is winning league and making it to CIF.”
