Varsity boys soccer defeated Glendora High School 5-0 on Feb. 7 at home.
Walnut kicked off to begin the match. The Mustangs, on offense, scored their first goal after a corner kick by midfielder senior Andrew Rodriguez. Keeping the momentum, Walnut broke down Glendora’s defense and scored four consecutive goals. Captain striker senior Oscar Feria scored the second goal with a penalty kick and the first half ended 2-0. During the second half, midfielder freshman Jayden Felix scored the third goal and midfielder senior Christian Nava scored the fourth. The match ended with a penalty kick from goalkeeper senior Emiliano Hernandez.
“I’m very pleased with the way this season has gone, especially with all the continous effort we all gave,” Feria said. Ω
