The atmosphere is comforting and modern as the shop is selectively decorated with clean, minimalist furniture and plenty of natural light. It is the kind of place where you can relax, work on homework or just enjoy a quiet moment.
I ordered their most popular signature drink, the Life is Matcha Latte for $6.75. The drink consisted of matcha latte nestled at the bottom of the cup, topped with salted foam that added a lovely savory texture. The matcha was earthy with just a right balance of richness and sweetness. It was topped with matcha powder that I thought was a nice touch, as it made the drink look aesthetic for a great photo op.
To go with the latte, I ordered a Gochujang Sea Salt Cookie for $4.50. I have never heard of such an interesting combination that combined a cookie with the Korean chili paste, gochujang. The cookie was a hit. It was soft and packed with a wide array of contrasting flavors that complemented each other well. The subtle spice from the gochujang paired nicely with the marshmallow sitting at the center of the cookie with a sprinkle of sea salt balancing everything beautifully. The Life is Matcha Latte paired nicely with the cookie, as it complimented the richness of the gochujang with its earthy flavor.
I also tried the Strawberry Matcha Latte for $6.00 during a second visit, as I brought my friends to experience Danzzan for themselves. The Strawberry Matcha Latte was delicious, but not without any faults as the strawberry syrup took a while to completely mix in with the rest of the drink. Some other dessert options available for purchase include the Snowy Persimmon drink and Chestnut Tiramisu.
